Tuesday Night Report
Northwest Arkansas – The Chapter opened up the Cotter High School, 181 Melba, Cotter, AR (Baxter County) as a shelter, with an overnight population of 43 shelter residents. The Southern Baptist Convention is preparing meals at the school. Disaster Assessment is 50% complete; road closures due to debris and safety issues have hindered DA in the Cotter area. DA crews will confirm damage tomorrow. The EOC is open in Baxter County and the chapter has provided a liaison to the EOC. Note the Baxter County area is an unaffiliated SDA which the NWAR chapter is currently supporting in this response.

The chapter is using two ERVs to provide mobile meals prepared by the Southern Baptist Convention. Disaster assessment has been completed in the area. The chapter is also in contact with local officials throughout their jurisdiction.
